Survey Results - Biggest Fashion & Beauty Challenges

I asked over a thousand women to tell me their #1 single biggest fashion or beauty challenge right now? Here were their answers!

  • Size of my bust makes me feel that nothing looks good!
  • Being 48 and knowing what's too young or too old
  • My makeup and punjabi dresses
  • I'm trying to lose about 35 pounds and I don't want to spend a lot on clothes right now.
  • My long torso
  • Not looking frumpy because of my weight.
  • I suck at putting outfits together. I'm working on a capsule wardrobe because I like the concept of only having really great pieces that fit well and that you love, but I struggle with making an outfit go from good to GREAT!
  • I have a problem applying makeup. I don't know how. I’m bad at choosing the right outfits as a mother..
  • Feeling good and confident in the clothes I wear.
  • I'm 65. I don’t feel that age at all. I don't want to look young but I don't want to dress old. I want to look good and feel good about what I am wearing. Does that make sense?
  • Over weight and carry the bulk of my weight in the stomach and core area. I'm 5'4" and have to get jeans a bigger size to fit waist which causes me to have baggy pants in the rear.
  • Large breasts an only 5ft tall
  • My middle area
  • My tummy is a bit protruding and I like wearing skirts. And I don´t want to look fat, of course...
  • I'm 65, trying to lose weight (50#), struggling with going to the gym (I have two memberships), and I just want to look good. Finding old pictures of myself is very disheartening because I no longer look as good as I did when I was 30, 40, 50... Self-confidence has always been an issue. I LOVE clothes and have a walk in closet full of them!!
  • I'm about to turn 50 and I'm overweight. I care more about looking good in my clothes than I ever have before.
  • Finding pants that my larger thighs don't pull down off my waist.
  • Finding comfortable clothing while still looking good
  • I can never find stuff that fits that's affordable that makes me feel the right age, I either look 14 or 40.
  • Disguising "mom" belly that has crept up on me.
  • Clothes that are age appropriate for someone in their 40s. Also clothes that look great and fit well.
  • I am pregnant
  • Knowing what type of clothing suits me
  • My abdomen sticks out
  • Finding clothes that suit my body type but also conform to my clothing style.
  • Dressing well and up to date without looking frumpy or like I'm trying to look too young. In particular finding clothes that are flattering for someone who is thin but has a large chest (size 2, but 32 DD). Looking good with feeling trampy (when things are too body conscious) or frumpy/fat when things are too loose to accommodate my chest. I'm 45
  • I am a senior and am having trouble finding clothing that fits and is stylish I
  • Coming up with spring outfits.
  • Clothes that look good together.
  • Staying current with styles- so I am not looking heavier.
  • Looking stylish everyday on a very low budget and with no time or headspace due to two boistrous boys (3 and 5).
  • Trying to dress for crazy weather, hot one day, cold another, my work environment is also hot, most of the time, making it difficult to add much interest to my outfits with layers.
  • Dressing for my body type- especially the muffin top in summer when clothes are lighter and show the flaws!
  • What to wear daily, casual running errands.
  • Weight gain that makes me feel frumpy and unattractive. Why does an outfit look so good online or on someone else, but when I try it on it looks ridiculous?
  • Getting stuck in a mum uniform routine.
  • Finding clothing to fit my shape and style.
  • I would like to start building a relaxed, but classy wardrobe. It is slowly getting better, but I have too much Target and Chico items. I would like more patterns (not animal prints) - I have a lot of solids.
  • Finding things that fit right and flatter and still looking current and nice :).
  • My hair.
  • Staying fashionable without looking mumsy and within budget.
  • Dresses
  • Adjusting to my new body, since I have two kids in 3 years I have picked up weight .
  • Make a wardrobe can be used at all time.
  • Finding comfortable dress shoes.
  • Facial Hair!!! Yes I know it's just peach fuzz but it is still hair on my face. The problem is that it shines in sunlight causing my face to look swollen. I've read that Elizabeth Taylor shaved her face. Will I become the bearded women if I start shaving?
  • The proportions of my body don't fit into store-bought clothes. I have felt fat and ugly since I got pregnant with my first baby 12 years ago simply because I can't fit into the cute clothes 🙁 I've given up in recent years and have lived in yoga pants and Lands End T-shirts (the only ones that fit my proportions), but I feel like a slob, which is DEGRADING for me because I love fashion.   I am a small, petite person, but I have a LARGE chest (I measure for a 32F bra size) and a mommy-tummy that looks like a 5-month pregnant belly, and all of that atop pretty narrow hips and tolerably attractive legs.   Off-the-rack clothes fit me across the back, but are too tight across the front. Jeans are HORRENDOUS to wear, being beyond uncomfortable not to mention unattractive with a large muffin top. Jeans that fit my straight hips are too small in the waist, but if I try on jeans that fit my waist comfortably, I have major sagging in the crotch and read end.   If all of that isn't enough, I have a lot of breast pain and can barely wear a bra anymore. After 4 kids, my breasts are anything but small and perky, but I really can't wear a bra due to the pain. Of course nothing looks good on top of heavy braless boobs ; )   I also just turned 35 and have been having a bit of a style crisis. Did my style change?! Everything I like suddenly looks totally WRONG on me. I can't even explain it; it just looks off somehow and feels weird.
  • Age appropriate outfits
  • Finding attractive professional clothing to fit an apple shaped body esp when you’re on a budget
  • Finding clothes that look good on my short and no waist body.
  • I can find the clothes but I cannot always put the together. Or I feel like I'm trying to act too young even though I'm 56 I still want to be stylish.
  • I am 48 but am always told that I look ten years younger. I was always an hourglass figure, though recent health issues have left me with some thickness in the abdomen. I homeschool my child, so my wardrobe has shifted to the casual side here in the Deep South; I am very active in ministry and occasionally speak publicly, and also do some community health visits and education (I am an RN). My greatest challenge has been finding nicer casual clothes and a few dressy outfits that are both flattering/slimming and AGE-APPROPRIATE but not frumpy!
  • Gosh when I get home from work and my other half has surprised me with an outing! and I have to get my 'sh##' together to look glam with oily hair and oh no "nothing to wear" How can I look like a sexy goddess! feel free to comment I will Listen LOL! god love him!
  • I would say that my closet is so drab I'm not excited to get dressed, so I'm mostly in workout gear...with a lot of stretched out tank tops with stains. I had my daughter two months ago and a lot of my cuter items don't fit right now or I feel ridiculous since my boobs grew from breastfeeding. I guess I just need motivation and inspiration again
  • Dressing for an apple body shape.
  • Affordable fashion. Simple classic boho. Sizing. Muffin top
  • Aging (almost 59) but still wanting to look up to date and stylish, without looking like a 20 year old.
  • I'm still struggling to find my style. Work mostly with younger people, and don't want to look old/old fashioned (body type 3)
  • Looking fashionable, not so boring. I am a mother of two young children (1 and three). I want to look fashionable but the clothes still have to be functional. I still struggle with my weight and of course I look sooo tired all the time (I AM tired). And last but not least, we live on a tight budget, so no spending sprees. I don't want to purchase cheap clothing out of ethical reasons.
  • I'm 55. It's important to me to look classy, fun and age appropriate without being matronly too soon.
  • Back fat! I feel embarrassed by my back view. I want fashionable clothing that is not too clingy!
  • Finding my true style
  • Lose weight
  • Losing 5 pounds to fit into my favorites - yes, really 5 pounds. On a 4'10" person that is a lot.
  • Hiding my muffin top 🙂
  • Finding tops and bras that fit. There may be bras out there that fit if I want to take out a loan, but short of that , finding a bra for me (wide underwire need, but not projection), is HARD. When I try on a 40C (my real band size is about 30-32!), it fits the bottom of my breast, but not the top half (vertical/diagonal folds) and of course there is the problem of having to take in the band! See my problem? Meanwhile if I wore a large cup in a 32 band, I would look ridiculous- I would have nothing to fill it.. And as for tops, when they fit the bust, it doesn't fit the shoulder or waist so I have to resort to knits all the time.
  • Finding age-appropriate clothing that fits that I like
  • I do not know what suits me. I know what I like, but I'm too scared to buy anything that I like because I'm afraid it'll look silly on me. I'm too short to wear those beautiful clothes.
  • I spent years learning how to dress for my body (tall pear, long waisted, large hips but always a flat belly) and then peri-menopause hormones kicked in and I don't know how to dress this new body.
  • Shirts that go with sorts or pants
  • Finding clothes in the current market that flatter my 70 year old body.
  • I've gained a lot of weight and I am struggling with accepting my new body. I don't have a lot of clothes that fit me anymore and it is difficult to put together outfits that are complimentary to my new figure
  • Finding things to wear that are comfortable when dealing with busy kiddos and schedules, but still look good and are flattering.
  • Dressing for my body type. My eyes see something but it doesn't necessarily fit my body type. It looks good in my head but then I put it on and it doesn't look good. I think I'm taller and skinnier than I really am. Lol
  • Being so overweight
  • Need to lose approximately 7 kilograms
  • Well, I'm short and I like to be comfortable, and all the elegant women I know are so much taller. I like flats or 5 or 6 cm shoes. Also I don't like show my legs since a have a problem that is called "livedo reticularis" that is a problem where your skin turns like a lace surface with colder temp. Also I'm a brunette with olive tone skin and my hair is light brown, medium/short. I´m slim (48 kg) and my legs are skinny and not tall. Thank you. Sorry for my bad english, I´m Portuguese.
  • As a mom of 7...learning to dress my changing body: Breastfeeding, lingering baby weight. I want to dress comfortably, but still look smart and put together...not frumpy.
  • My make-up.
  • Dressing for my age
  • I'm 5'6" tall, size 4 (sometimes 2), and I'm 65. I want to look my age. Also, I cut my hair into a super-short pixie so I could stop coloring it, but now it's a shoulder-length flip. My husband loves it, and it's easy, but I'm questioning whether long white/gray hair is ever really ok.
  • My biggest issue right now is being a 27 year old mom with the body of a teenager. I want to dress like an adult but I'm not even sure where to start! I'm tired of looking like a teenager.
  • I have two. I am 65 and have grown a little fat since menopause, and I rarely like how I look in clothing. Also, while I love the silvery-white color of my hair, it is thinning and stick straight.
  • I'm suddenly mid thirties and can't shift the 7lbs I need to loose. So I'm struggling with what suits me. What makes me look old. What is too young. And what makes me look FAT!!!! 😄
  • Finding clothes that are comfortable, no gap in the back waist pants/jeans. I'm tall and a SAHM who only gets dressed up for church and in rare occasions a date night or sisters day. Right now I'm down to 3 pair of JC Penny long/tall yoga tie waist pants which I am embarrassed to say are also interchangeable as PJs, lol! My 4 shirts are long/tall v-neck cotton mix shirts that are so worn, faded and splattered with bleach dots from doing laundry and grease dots from making meals. I'm really in a sad state!
  • Dressing stylishly for my age (I'm 55) and for the weight I recently gained.
  • I've gained a lot of weight around my middle. Hard to decide what doesn't make me look bigger
  • Finding pants that fit me. I'm usually in leggings now and then with those is the challenge of finding a shirt that covers my bum but isn't too loose. Then of course I'd pair that outfit with boots but indoors it looks so so without my boots. I have a huge wardrobe, and nothing fits I get changed several times before I'm comfortable enough to walk out the door.
  • Rebuilding my work wardrobe,( I started back at work after 7 years family leave last year. My daughter is now 8).   and having enough casual clothes to still look decent on the weekend. I'm mainly a jeans/skinny cargo and top kind of girl. These days I mainly prefer to cover my butt, particularly at work, since I feel that everything's travelling south. Since the choices on your site were limited as to who I relate most to, I chose Jennifer Garner, but I'm probably more like Jennifer Aniston, when she's casual. Similar colour hair, similar build (but not as fit and perky, boobs a bit smaller). People see me as slim. I'm very subconscious about 'lumpy' thighs' so clingy/stretchy pencil skirts are not for me. Plus I'm in my late 40s 🙁 so sad, but people who don't know me often think I might be late 30s, early 40s. Hope that helps.
  • I have one hip higher than the other so skirts always hang funny on me. Also I am 5 ft 1/2 and weigh 145.
  • I'm not particularly creative--a total left brainer--so I can't envision an outfit that looks appropriate for work. I would love to look like a professional but also stylish and current.
  • Menopause middle. Gaining weight around waist
  • Finding clothes on a budget that actually fit well and are still in good condition.
  • My stomach - I have a roundish tummy and no waist!
  • Same old boring clothes
  • I am tall and finding clothes that fit well, are stylish and don't cost a fortune is a challenge for me.
  • Discovering what to wear after pregnancy and finding time to look feminine, chic & beautiful. Stylish, easy, convenient, quick, comfy is what I am looking for.
  • How to dress my age (50) without looking too young or too old
  • To find light 3/4 length sleeved tops, with rounded neck lines, rather than v-neck.
  • I have a 35 inch inseam, so finding pants that fit and are long enough is a challenge. I am also great at formal and fancy looks, but like most moms, I struggle with the day to day looks. I have a tough balance because I work in the inner city and don't want to lord my wealth over other people... But I still want to look good and polished.
  • How to dress for my body type
  • To choose one style...I like all kinds of different styles and it is difficult for me to pick one style because than I would loose all other styles that I like... so my wardrobe is one cluttered and mixed pile of clothes 🙂
  • Looking decent but being comfortable year round warm weather
  • I am working on weight loss, I have purged my closet and got rid of elastic waisted pants. I only have one pair of jeans that fit. I want to wear clothes that flatter me and are the right color for me.
  • Finding tops that look cute with jeans. Some jeans, depending on the rise, give me a small "muffin top" and I hate it! I like tops that will camouflage it!
  • A bit too much weight....but have now decided to quit snacking between meals..... When I am concentrating on my work, I eat and eat.
  • How to find a high quality aesthetician. That some "one" who can do it all in one shop from waxing/sugaring, tinting, facials or whatever else our little hearts desire.
  • I work with a few younger moms. I am 50 and envy their style, but I know I cannot pull it off at my age. I am hip heavy and wear long sweaters and tops. But I feel frumpy compared to the 30-ish co-workers.
  • I had all the wrong clothes. I have one pair of jeans to wear. 2 that don't fit. I am retired, so I don't need working wardrobe
  • Hiding my stomach
  • Belly fat
  • Short and chubby
  • Not knowing what to wear when going out
  • I'm 43... Not old enough for old lady clothes, too old for mega trendy ones. Also short with a tummy and narrow (deformed) shoulders.
  • Hi I'm from Costa Rica. I have 20 extra pounds so, I don’t feel comfortable in my body and I don’t feel attractive at all
  • I am short 4'9" 62 yrs old and weigh 174 lbs how do I know what styles are best for me?
  • Finding my fashion "groove" back after baby. Dealing with fluctuations in weight/body size; updating my wardrobe with cute additions that are a) not 5+ years old, b) not too expensive c) flatter my slightly-still-pregnant-looking belly, d) are stay-at-home friendly, and e) still look fashionable!
  • I am a plus sized, nursing mom...and I am finding it hard to know what to wear so that I don't look like an old lady...or like I'm trying to be too trendy (young).
  • Time
  • The saggy belly pooch! A year and a half after the birth of my last son, people still wonder if I'm pregnant :-(. Dressing well has been emotionally exhausting
  • Finding clothes that suit my body type - long torso, short legs
  • I'm breastfeeding so I need clothes that are accessible and that I feel OK in seeing as my boobs are bigger than usual. I'm also out walking the dog several times a day so I don't want to keep changing from "dog-walking" clothes to lunch (for eg) clothes and back again....
  • Just finding something that's comfortable and looks nice and fits good. I have no sense of fashion.
  • Wearing clothes that do not accent the mommy tummy I have.
  • The cost of trying to buy nice in fashion (not flowery) looking mumus for a plus size. I'm between 16-18-20 depending on maker. I have a big belly 🙁
  • Finding work(business casual)-and-age-appropriate as well as fashionable plus-size clothing ideas. I don't want to dress like an old lady (I'm 50) or like a teenager. I don't really have a defined style, and with my age/weight combination I often feel like I'm on the outside looking in, fashion-wise, but I feel too young and happy to give in to polyester muumuus.
  • My belly or muffin top (whatever the lingo is right now). I am not big chested at all so my belly seems to stick out more than what is supposed to. Also, I have stopped colouring my hair (going grey in high school). The expense every 3 weeks to colour has gotten out of hand since I have been for over 20 years. My hair was naturally dark so now I really look pale with my silver hair.
  • I can't seem to figure out morning/evening beauty rituals that are time efficient. And my closet is lacking some of the essentials for functioning properly. I have many of the things mentioned in the capsule closet but I still lack trousers, finishing pieces, dark jeans, shorts, skirt. Mostly bottoms now that I look at it.
  • How to dress for the body I have and look cute on a budget. I usually shop at Stage, Kohls or Walmart.
  • Dressing my postpartum body while still looking put together. My husband likes styles with more structure and waist definition but that's my worst area right now! I'm also broad in the shoulder and large on the bust (plus breastfeeding!) so minimizing and smoothing the top half of me is the big concern
  • Finding clothes that don't make me feel frumpy. Picking items that compliment me color and shape wise. I've gained some weight over the past year. I'm also embracing my naturally curly hair and learning how to deal with that
  • Buying jeans, other pants and shorts that fit nicely around the hip area and that don't create that muffin top!
  • I am obese
  • Can't get clothes to fit right due to some weight gain
  • My biggest beauty challenge is adult acne and my biggest fashion is trying to dress my body to be stylish, & comfortable
  • Color coordination. Especially more interesting color combinations and not the obvious.
  • Am pear shape which all my pants are tight right now. I am 45 years young and still love my bling but have been accused of still living in the 80's. Want to be girly glam but not outdated?
  • My weight
  • Finding time to put on make up with a toddler.
  • Thighs and butt are bigger than my waist. I am a bit on the short side. My torso is longer than my legs.
  • Trying to find good, modest outfits that flatter my body type.
  • I have a hard time choosing flattering pieces that I don't get bored of. I also tend to dress older than my 25 years and I can't say my boyfriend loves it (although he deals with it!).
  • Hi I'm 52 yrs old, I've had some health issues over the yrs that made me feel older and now I'm experiencing good old menopause but I have maintained my weight of 150pounds but of course it doesn't stay in the same place. Lol Mostly I like to camouflage my stomach. I'd love to wear t shirts but look better in loose flowing tops, leggings with tunics. I still wish to look current. I was a hairstylist for 20 yrs and loved it. People always look to see how stylish you are. Who wants to go to a frumpy hair stylist with a bad haircut. I no longer cut hair but would like to still look fashionable. I have a 15 year old son who also likes to be proud of his mother. He has a nice group of friends and the teenage girls are fun to chat with. I'm currently trying to turn my guest bedroom into a closet/ Boutique. I never seem to have the right thing to match what I've purchased. I would like to have a more cohesive look. We different functions and like to look on trend.
  • Feeling like I'm caught in a drab rut and look old.
  • My hair being fine and thin.
  • Being overweight. It makes me very insecure.
  • Being trendy but age appropriate. I now have a casual but not sporty lifestyle. I wear my hair long, look best in chunky jewelry, lots of jeans. Like a bit of boho but can't wear the floaty tops or sweaters as I have narrow shoulders and big boobs.   Upper arms and lines in my neck pet peeves.
  • I've always been a small size (around a 6) even after having my 5th child. After being diagnosed with a chronic illness, I was put on several meds that made me gain over 40 pounds. No matter how hard I try I can't lose it. It's time to have a "real wardrobe in this bigger size. I don't know what to buy that looks good and hides my trouble spots. I've always gravitated to the same cuts and styles that looked good on me then... They don't work any more!
  • I'm a new mom and I am about 10 pounds lighter than pre pregnancy. All of my clothes look frumpy on me and I feel jeans are very uncomfortable right now because of c-section and spending most of my time on the floor with my one year old.
  • Colorblocking
  • Having the right balance of clothes! I'm 35 and work full time in a professional environment but I'm also a mom! I don't have to wear suits every day but I still have to look professional so I wear a lot of dresses skirts and cardigans. In the winter when it's cold I wear more pants. I tend to spend most of my wardrobe budget on work clothes so on the weekends I feel like I have nothing to wear! We also go to church but I don't like wearing my work clothes to church. I like to dress up but wear trendier dresses, etc.
  • Concealing my mid-section. It's my trouble spot. I'm not over-weight, but I do have a few lumps that I want to get rid of
  • My fashion challenge is knowing how to dress to make my legs look skinnier and longer. I have short athletic legs, and am trying to work on making them leaner.
  • Fine, thin hair! Also, now that I'm 41 finding ways to still dress fun.
  • I speaks spanish, so I'll do muy best. After 2 births I have a little tummy, so I used big and untied clothes to hide it. I'm 34 years old and some people told me that I dress like an grown up. When I ser people at muy age, they look so staylish and young, and sexy. I feel a little unsecure and for worst and don't know how to apply makeup. I'm pretty and that fat, but I feel totally opositte. Thank, for your attention and interest.
  • Official wear and hair styles
  • Beauty to care my diet and about fashion learn to dress better
  • Red hair going grey
  • A mom to young children
  • I'm a 68 y/o woman who is presently about 100lbs over-weight. My younger, thinner me is in there, wanting to desperately get out, but until I can get some of it off, it's hard for me to feel comfortable in old, fat lady clothes. And that's all I can find in the stores in my size, anyway. I have a casual-dress job, so sneakers, jeans and tops will do. I want to feel feminine and pretty, but feel silly in adding anything more than a pair of small hoop earrings. I bought a black purse, one side covered in small, black leather 'feathers' yesterday. It's gorgeous, but it doesn't 'go' with the rest of my outfit. (long-sleeve flowered T-shirts and size 22 jeans!) Unfortunately, the way I feel has me stuck in more ways than this. I know you're not a therapist, but writing this to you just made it evident that, perhaps, a therapist is what I need. However, any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
  • Weight . . . mostly in the torso . . . is difficult to lose
  • Not knowing how to dress my shape. The outfit will look good in my head but when I put it on I end up hating it, and end up in yoga pants and a t-shirt
  • Looking my age and not half my age
  • Dressing for my body shape. Dressing in a chic, but affordable style. Dressing for my age, and wearing my hair for my age, as well.
  • Finding my unique style and setting priorities
  • Looking fashionable for my age...(53) without looking "old", nor looking like I think I am still 30!
  • Covering my tummy area
  • My weight. I am a plus size female. I love my weight. I would love to feel more confident in my body.
  • My body has changed after having a baby and I just feel tired of my clothes that do fit okay. I've been married 5 years now and haven't had the funds to get new clothes very often. I'm 32 and feeling in between when it comes to styles. I'm ready to look more put together than jeans & a vneck and scarf but time is limited when getting ready. I'm not sure how to update my wardrobe and I think the biggest problem is in finding time for myself and getting through the clothes that don't fit... Getting rid of them. Wish I had someone to come help me honestly assess what I have without having to pay hundreds of dollars. Hope that makes sense.
  • Finding the right lipstick color and I would like to start using mineral makeup but I don’t know where to start.   Fashion wise, I like fashionable clothes made out of natural fabrics but I do not know where to shop. I would also like to wear more casual dresses.
  • Finding clothes I actually like
  • My biggest challenge is to look right being petite, 5'3". And finding the correct size blouse or sweater to use with my leggings, without covering to much of my legs, in order to not make them seem shorter. And the use of riding boots....
  • I have issues dressing for my body type. I took the test and I am a body type # 3, however, the options given according to me suit women on the thinner side where as I am a plus size. I have thin limbs and most of my weight is on my lower abdomen. And to top it off, I am short. I find most dresses look bad on me due to the size of my stomach and no waist. I usually wear slim fit jeans, trousers or pencil skirts with loose fit tops.
  • Finding comfortable bras, heels vs flat boots to be sexy when it's cold, heavy acne scarring, lip wear that doesn't fade or dry out.
  • Biggest fashion issue is trying to find clothes that fit my body so I feel comfortable. Biggest beauty issue is my hair and make up.
  • Time, in putting together the outfit... and something I am working on is my shape.... it is getting better, but certain areas have to be hidden...
  • The change in temperatures and selecting the correct weight clothes to wear....
  • It's humid, so something that is natural fiber, loosely fitted, but still fashionable. Comfortable and cool enough to work around the house and go out of the house in. 🙂
  • Casual pants for work - I want to wear comfortable pants all day that are "formal" enough for work but I can wear while playing with my son after work!
  • Putting together casual outfits (jeans, tops, shoes, and accessories)--my uniform!
  • Maternity Clothes! I love the comfort of leggings and a dress, but I can't wear it every day. Everything you see in stores for maternity clothes has those repeated stripes in neutral colors. Then there's that awkward stage where you definitely don't fit in your normal clothes, but you're not big enough (or ready) to start wearing the high elastic maternity pants. HELP!!!!
  • Where I can find the kind of clothes that I want.
  • Facial Hair. Day after day new and hideous little monsters appear and during peri menopausal years fluffy face appears.
  • I feel frumpy as can be. I have been going through depression and I just don't feel pretty anymore. My body shape is a big downer. I am all boobs and belly and no butt!     I love wearing jeans, but I don't like the dirty diaper look I have because of the no booty problem. Dresses and skirts are my main go to pieces. And I have no idea how to accessorize.   I'm also horrible with makeup so I need a few basic but pretty ideas.
  • Colours and patterns, what goes with what?
  • My biggest fashion challenge right now is finding tops that hide my big stomach..
  • How to decide the correct proportions for an outfit. For example does a shirt have to end at the hip line to look good? Or is a long, shift like shirt ending at the crotch be ok? Can I wear a long skirt or will that always make me look old? Boots or shoes? Etc....
  • I feel like I don't have a lot of clothes that fit, look good on me, or aren't "in" right now. It's difficult for me to get ready in the mornings because I can't pick an outfit out. I've had most of my clothes for 2-3 years and wish I could buy a whole new wardrobe!
  • Olivia Pelermo or Chiara Ferragni
  • Keeping the kids out of my make up! I can't find my "mascare", my Chanel lipsticks are smashed after a week, and I have been without my blush brush for a few weeks now, so I am applying with my fingertips. lol
  • Not knowing what is (IN) fashion and I would say hair.
  • I gained 15 pounds in the last two or three months.
  • My #1 single biggest fashion challenge right now is finding the perfect fitting jeans for my body shape. After having kids, well, my body is not the same. I did lose most of the weight gained during pregnancy, I still have problems finding the right rise and length and butt flattering jeans for myself 🙁
  • Trying to loose weight right now and need some advice on what to wear while I am transitioning to goal weight
  • I am currently working on loosing weight. Need help in figuring out what are the best outfits for me. Casual and dressy.
  • Capturing basic trends in realistic clothing choices for a 40 something. Quality ways of staying somewhat on trend without becoming a fashion victim.
  • Fashionable plus size outfits.
  • Updating my wardrobe with what I currently have
  • I lack creativity planning my outfits for work, worship, and Dreyfus occasions.
  • My looks (hair, clothes, and make up)
  • How to dress comfortably and stylish at the same time.
  • Hair & makeup - my kids are finally old enough that I can focus a little more on hair and makeup but I would like a little variety.
  • It seems like I became curvy over night and so now I don't know how to dress. Also, I struggle to dress age appropriately. I'm in my late 20s now and my wardrobe is half teenage looking and the other half looks like my grandma could wear it.
  • Learning how to highlight my eyes. I've always just gone with a little eyeliner and mascara, but I want to learn how to do more with shadow.
  • Finding clothes that flatter and are long enough for a 5'9 body.
  • Fashion for my new body shape. I am no longer size 7. I have jumped into size 13/14 after baby number two. Many of my fav stores don’t carry my size or don’t have things that define my waist.
  • Boots - There are so many choices and I am in the market and don't know where to start. I want boots that will last and are not trendy.
  • I am 19 weeks pregnant and a stay at home mom who used to be a lot more fashion conscious and I don't want to look like a mess.
  • The think that first came to mind was keeping my bra and undershirt straps out of sight.
  • I have a newborn baby and my biggest challenge is definitely dressing my after baby body. I have extra "lovin" in places I haven't had before like my mid section that makes feeling pretty hard.
  • Being overweight and not happy with my wardrobe.
  • Dressing to make my body (and its flaws) look good.
  • I seem to migrate toward too casual, then when I wear something dresser people ask what I'm doing...ugh I'm pigeon holed for tee shirt and shorts. I have trouble transitioning seasons, #FLproblems 😉
  • Jeans! I'd like to know BEFORE going in to the store what brand of jeans would best suit my shape - as well as tips on what makes a good pair of jeans that fit (for example, I don't want to get a pair that make me look like I have a muffin top - but I don't want high-risers that make me look like a grandma.)
  • Difficult to find things that fit, time to shop.
  • Wardrobe remix with emphasis on accessories. Just switched to my fall wardrobe (Yay! My season) and want to be stylish, thrifty, and confident every day.
  • Having my hair cooperate!!!
  • How to pair what's already in my closet together in new ways, and items to add to my core wardrobe. Lastly, what should be part of my core wardrobe, when you like a small (in number of pieces of clothing) wardrobe, medium wardrobe, and larger wardrobe.
  • Feeling fat in my clothes. I've gained some weight in the belly area and am having challenges camouflaging it
  • How to dress age appropriately and be fashionable. I'm in my mid 50's so I still feel young but I don't look young. And I'm okay with that but certainly don't want to look older than I am. Combine that with the fact that my waist is not as narrow as it used to be (I'm 5'8 and wear a size 10 or 12) and well, it's a challenge.
  • Aging skin on face & finding clothing that does not accent the wrinkles & sagging. New styles & colors
  • That at 42 my face and body are beginning to change. Previously, it would take me 20 minutes to get ready, it now takes longer to get the same result.
  • Just trying to figure out my body type and learning to dress for it.
  • Determining a particular style that really suits lifestyle
  • Coordinating my clothes in my closet to make new outfits.
  • Looking fabulous in my 50s (and slightly chubby now) without looking like I'm trying to be 'hot, cool, and young'. My face looks great, but my body... oh, my.
  • Comfort, I have gained weight and some of my clothes are getting tight. Not so comfortable. Button up shirts gap at breast line. Pants create muffin top. Heels for work are not comfortable all day. Cute boots don't zip around my calf. I love to dress nice but comfort is a necessity.
  • Mixing comfort and style.
  • Buying sweaters that are flattering for style dial 2 with jeans
